$50.00 Cash or check made payable to Richland County Clerk. No credit or debit cards accepted.
What do I need to bring?
Certified birth certificates, Social Security numbers, proof of residency, and if previously married, a filed copy of the final judgment of divorce, legal annulment or certified death certificate must be shown at the time of application.
How To Apply:
Applicants must provide certified birth certificates, Social Security numbers and proof of residency. If either applicant was previously married, you must show proof of how your last marriage ended. Signed copies of judgment of divorce, court annulment papers, or a certified copy of the spouse’s death certificate must be provided.
When does It Expire:
The marriage license is good for 30 days from issuance.
Name Change:
Filing for a marriage license in the state of Wisconsin does not cause your or your spouse’s last name to automatically change. Married name change services are available to guide you through the married name change process if you opt to change your name.
