How much is it?

The fee for a marriage license is $55.00 dollars. Payment by cash or check is preferred; checks are made payable to the "Clerk of the Circuit Court". Credit cards are accepted with the exception of American Express.

A government issued picture ID and Social Security number. If either applicant was previously married, a copy of the divorce decree or death certificate is required.

When does It Expire:

In Montgomery County a marriage license must be used within six months or it will expire.
