Heads up! On top of everything you need to remember to bring to apply for a marriage license, you also have to bring the correct form of payment. Most counties in Pennsylvania only accept cash for marriage license fees. Any county that does accept credit or debit cards will charge a convenience fee added on to the marriage license fee (typically about 2.9% of the total fee)  Some county clerk’s also only accept MasterCard or Visa. To avoid any payment confusion, bringing the exact fee in cash is your best option!
