What do I need to bring?
Both applicants seeking a marriage license must provide a government issued photo identification and Social Security number. If either applicant has been previously married, a certified copy of a divorce/death decree must be provided,
How To Apply:
Application maybe completed online and a verification email will be sent. The application will be placed on file with the Department of Court Records Marriage License Bureau. The application can also be completed in the County Clerks office. Both applicants seeking a marriage license must appear together in person at the Marriage License Bureau to complete the process.
Name Change:
Filing for a marriage license in the state of Pennsylvania does not cause your or your spouse’s last name to automatically change. Married name change services are available to guide you through the married name change process if you opt to change your name.
