EIther mail the marriage applicationor by bringing it into the County Clerk's Office for activation at least three days prior to your wedding day.

How To Apply:

Applicants must be 18 years or older. Both applicants must be present to sign & swear to the information on the application. Applicants can apply for the marriage license either in person or by mail.Both parties must complete and sign aportion of the application.

When does It Expire:

The license is valid for 60 days after the effective date. The license is valid only in Oregon.

Name Change:
Filing for a marriage license in the state of Oregon does not cause your or your spouse’s last name to automatically change. Married name change services are available to guide you through the married name change process if you opt to change your name.
