How To Apply:
Both applicants are required by law to appear in the Probate Court to obtain their marriage license. No Appointment is necessary. By initiating your application on-line you are expediting your process at the Court. The Franklin County Probate Court Marriage Department hours are 8:00AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday and is located at 373 South High Street on the 23rd Floor. The Court is closed on all legal holidays.

Name Change:
Filing for a marriage license in the state of Ohio does not cause your or your spouse’s last name to automatically change. Married name change services are available to guide you through the married name change process if you opt to change your name.
