How To Apply:
Both applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Marriage application can printed and filled out prior to coming to the County Clerk's office. Application must be signed & sworn before the county clerk issuing the license.
When does It Expire:
The license is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance and the license fee is non-refundable. The license must be used within the State of Kentucky.
Name Change:
Filing for a marriage license in the state of Kentucky does not cause your or your spouse’s last name to automatically change. Married name change services are available to guide you through the married name change process if you opt to change your name.
