How To Apply:
Both parties must appear at the DuPage County Clerk’s office and present proof of age and government issued identification. If applicants were previously married and if a prior marriage ended within the last six (6) months, a certified copy (a photocopy is not sufficient) of the death record, dissolution or annulment decree.must be provided.
When does It Expire:
The license is valid for 60 days.
Name Change:
Filing for a marriage license in the state of Illinois does not cause your or your spouse’s last name to automatically change. Married name change services are available to guide you through the married name change process if you opt to change your name.
