Planning on getting married in a county that you do not reside in? Here is a tip for you! Most Illinois counties only issue marriage licenses to couples who plan on getting married in that specific county. For example, if you obtain a marriage license in Kane County, you must get married in Kane County. Not all counties have that rule but it is definitely something you should look into before filing your marriage license application!
