How To Apply:

Marriage licenses may be obtained between 8:00 a.m.and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The license is valid for 60 days and may be used in any county in the state of North Carolina. A marriage license costs $60.00. Both parties must appear together to obtain the license. Applicants must provide their Social Security card and photo I.D. The following will be accepted in lieu of a social security card: Tax Return or W-2 Pay Stub with complete Social Security number on it If applicant has never been issued a Social Security number, they may present a sworn statement/affidavit to that affect.
